I suppose I should start by introducing myself:
My name is Jordan and I live on the North Shore of Chicago and have been blogging about it here for the past 3 and a half years.
I'm 18 years old and about to start at Bellarmine University in August. I'm a political science major obsessed with Park and Recreation and Legally Blonde (Leslie Knope and Elle Woods are my spirit animals).
I want to use this blog as somewhat of a journal; a documentation of my time at Bellarmine. After finishing the book "One L" a "diary" of Scott Turow's first year at Harvard Law school, I thought a similar format and documentation might be an interesting was to get through college.
I'll be leaving to move in one month from today - crazy - and can't wait to meet my roommates and decorate my dorm.
I want to be brutally honest on this blog, so here goes nothing:
I was a huge procrastinator and wasted a lot of my natural talents and intelligence by not applying myself in high school.
I'm really worried about waking up in time for class every morning (even though my first class is at 10am) and fear that anxiety about this will become an issue this year.
I'm so ready to move away and become "independent" from my family. (I use quotations because they're the ones paying for my education, but you get the point)
There is one Sorority at Bellarmine, and if I don't get a bid, I'll honestly be devastated.
I'm really excited to keep this blog up, so stay tuned for more posts! I hope to post at least weekly through out the school year, hopefully more frequently, and plan on sharing supply shopping updates prior to the start of they year, so be sure to keep up with me here!
